Manchester’s Chinese Art Centre auction a UK first – event alert

The Chinese Art Centre in Manchester, UK will hold the first ever auction of contemporary Chinese art in the country on 2 December. This silent auction will be accompanied by online bidding options. The fundraiser will include works donated by 29 artists including Gordon Cheung, Suki Chan, Dinu Li, Ed Pien, Ming Wong, Tsang Kin Wah and Pei Yuan Jiang. Indian art market failing or just levelling out? New report by ArtTactic

A new report by ArtTactic, a company specialising in art market research and analysis, has been released. RESULTS: Indian Art Market Confidence Survey – Nov 2010 shows that the Indian art market has seen a downturn in sales due to “over-ambitious valuations and a lack of quality artworks.” However, is it just a result of the market levelling out? Korean pop art flaunted in Singapore – 6 artists profiled

Korean art has been making wave in the Singapore art scene.
