Video artists raise awareness about water conservation in China

Beijing’s second “Shan Shui” exhibition, “Shan Shui 2010: H2O”, showcased the works of such internationally acclaimed video and new media artists as Song Dong, Bill Viola, Wang Gongxin and Janaina Tschӓpe, all drawing attention to the subject of water either by using it as their subject or as material in their art.

Takashi interview number 3 in VernissageTV top 10 videos for 2010

Taiwan digital art in rare established Paris gallery showing

Exhibition “False Friends/An Ephemeral Video Library” marks the first time Taiwanese digital art has been showcased in an established Paris gallery. Three Taiwanese artists, Ming-Yu Lee, Wu Shang Lin and Chia Wei Hsu, are among 24 international artists whose video-based works are on display in the city’s Jeu de Paume.

Singapore Biennale 2011, 29 of 63 exhibiting artists are from Asia

The list of artists for the 2011 Singapore Biennale has been revealed. Beginning in early March, and this year titled “Open House”, SB2011 will feature over 150 works by 63 artists from 30 countries, with more than half of them premiering new works or creating new commissions. We have picked out the 28 artists who are living , working in or originally from the Asian region and listed them.
