OPEN CALL | Japan | Fellowship Programme 2016–17 | Center for Contemporary Art, CCA Kitakyushu – 29 February 2016
Centre for Contemporary Art, CCA Kitakyushu operates a fellowship programme for young artists and researchers who are engaged in art, curatorial work, design and architecture. CCA Fellowship Programme 2016–17 runs from September 2016 to the end of March 2017. Each fellow will be required to stay and work in Kitakyushu for a few months, either consecutively or intermittently during this period of time. Fellows are expected to further develop their research and studies through discussions, workshops and other CCA activities during their stay. At the end of the programme, fellows are required to present the results of their project as report, exhibition, etc., with advice from the directors. MORE HERE

The Novel As Fantasy open call is an opportunity for visual artists to submit a proposal for the creation of a new artist’s novel. Proposals should describe an art project in which the creation of a novel occupies a central position. The selected project will start in April 2016 and will finish in December 2017, with the final presentation in CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw and the publication of the artist’s novel. OPEN CALL | New York | The Edward and Sally Van Lier Arts Fellowship | Museum of Arts and Design – 25 January 2016
The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) is now taking applications for the Artist Studios Residency and the Edward and Sally Van Lier Fellowship. MAD champions contemporary makers across creative fields, presenting artists, designers and artisans who apply the highest level of ingenuity and skill to their work. The Van Lier Fellowship provides support for talented, culturally diverse, economically challenged young people who are seriously dedicated to careers in the arts. Fellows work 40 hours per week and receive a stipend of USD10,000. Applicants must be 30 years or younger as of 1 January 2016 for Fellowships beginning in 2016, and 30 years or younger as of 1 January 2017 for Fellowships beginning in 2017. MORE HERE
