The Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts is now accepting applications from national and international curators for its inaugural Curator-in-Residence Programme. Starting in January 2017, the successful candidate will participate in a one-year fully subsidised live/work residency as part of the Bemis Center’s acclaimed Artist-in-Residence Programme. S/he will originate and present three exhibitions and related public programmes inclusive of local and national artists. The Curator-in-Residence will work alongside residency and curatorial staff, and actively contribute to the overall vision of the Bemis’s renowned exhibition programme. MORE HERE
OPEN CALL | Rome | Fellowship | The American Academy in Rome – 9 January 2017
Applications are now open for the 2017–2018 term of The Samuel Kress Foundation AAMC Foundation Affiliated Fellowship at the American Academy in Rome (AAR). Currently in its fourth year, the Fellowship provides essential funding to Association of Art Museum (AAMC) members pursuing projects that require research in Italy. Awarded projects need not be Rome or Italian-specific. During their four-week appointment at the AAR, Fellows will be able to access the city’s artistic patrimony, as well as the rich content of its museums, libraries and archives that inform a myriad of Italian subjects from all arts disciplines. The appointment also includes access to AAR facilities and activities, housing at the AAR, most meals, a stipend and funding for airfare. MORE HERE

PinchukArtCentre is an international centre for contemporary art of the 21st century. It is an open platform for the artists, the art work and society. The Centre is currently seeking a deputy artistic director who will report directly to the artistic director and work closely with him on the organisation of various large-scale monographic and/or thematic exhibitions from concept to installation. He or she will occupy one of the key positions at the PinchukArtCentre. Responsibilities include: day to day management for the artistic team and the communications manager in joint supervision with communications director; curate two exhibitions per year; support and implement all other exhibitions, which includes overseeing installation, production and overall preparatory works. For this position, a BA in Art History is required, MA preferred, with at least three years related experience of demonstrated curatorial and organisational skills. OPEN CALL | Buenos Aires | Call for Proposals | Faena Prize for the Arts – 10 August 2016
A biennial international juried prize, the Faena Prize for the Arts recognises artistic experimentation, encourages post-disciplinary and temporal exploration, and promotes inquiry of the infinite links among art, technology and design. This year’s edition of the Faena Prize for the Arts calls on artists or groups of artists from all over the world to develop proposals for original projects that engage with the concept of time and duration while also interacting with the monumental architecture of the Faena Art Center in a significant way. Considered one of the most prestigious art prizes in the Americas, Faena Prize winners are awarded a total of USD75,000, USD25,000 of which is allocated to the artist in unrestricted funds with a USD50,000 budget for production to realise their proposal. The resulting work will be exhibited at the Faena Art Center Buenos Aires with the possibility of being adapted for Faena Forum in Miami Beach. MORE HERE
