Initiated by the Red Gate Gallery, the Red Gate Residency is an international artists’ residency programme in Beijing providing artists, curators, writers and academics with the opportunity to live and create work in China. The Residency is now offering two full-time position vacancies: Residency Director and Residency Coordinator. Training for the Director role will begin in October and November whilst the Coordinator candidate is sought to start immediately. Both roles provide opportunities to engage with international artists on a regular basis and require flexible time commitment, and communication skills in Chinese and English. The Working Artist Photography Award is calling all photographers and photo-based artists from around the world. Photographic work submissions are not limited by styles, subject matters or formats. As this is an art purchase award, the winners will be asked to exchange one of their original works or smaller series of original works for inclusion in Working Artist Org.’s collection. Shipping costs will be covered by the Award whilst artists are responsible for arranging the freight. No written proposals, application forms or CVs are required.
