Global recognition for Korean contemporary art? Not quite

According to an article published in The Korea Times at the end of October this year, Korean contemporary art began to make its presence felt on the global art market in 1995. This was the year that the official Korean Pavilion appeared at Venice Biennale and the Gwangju Biennale debuted.
