Heston was born in Durban, South Africa, and studied English at University of Pretoria, where he first gained experience editing theses from various departments as part of an Editing major. In the same year he had poetry published in South African art magazine A Look Away and in Perdeby, the official university newspaper. After graduation, he moved to Taiwan where he lived and worked as an English teacher for four years. It is here that he honed his English grammar skills and developed a keen eye for detail. He currently lives in Jeonju City, South Korea.
Heston joined the Art Radar team as Copy Editor in August 2010.
