We are excited to announce that we have secured the opportunity for a private tour of “Light and Shadows: Caravaggio, The Italian Baroque Master” for our readers and friends.

For a limited time only one of Caravaggio‘s most famous works, Supper at Emmaus, is being exhibited in Asia: a rare opportunity to see this masterpiece.

According to the press release,

This is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see one of the most famous paintings in the world, by one of the greatest artists of our time and a pioneer of modern painting.


The exhibition also features work by four important Hong Kong artists working today whose techniques are inspired by Caravaggio’s style. The four artists are:

The exhibition is masterfully curated by Professor Frank Vigneron of the Department of Fine Arts, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The tour will be followed by drinks and art chat at a local hotel: a chance to meet other readers and fellow art enthusiasts. The event will be low key and intimate – a great opportunity to network with other art enthusiasts and form collaborations and new friendships!

  • Date: 9 April 2014
  • Time: Meet at 6.30pm at Asia Society entrance; tour starts 7pm
  • Followed by drinks and chat at a nearby hotel (venue to be decided) at 8pm
  • Cost: HKD200 (Note: This fee will go to Art Radar for organising the event. The Asia Society is offering the exhibition and tour free of charge. Drinks after the event to be paid by attendees. No cash at the door –payment must be made in advance.)
