Kapwani Kiwanga’s largest show to-date, “Ujamaa” at La Ferme du Buisson – in pictures


La Ferme du Buisson reveals the artistic practice of multimedia artist Kapwani Kiwanga in anthropology, investigating popular and vernacular culture as well as the legacies of anti-colonial struggles.

The output of Kapwani Kiwanga’s social science inspired practice includes installation, sound pieces and video. In this new exhibition she has created three site specific installations which build upon and further earlier research the belief systems and Tanzania’s pre- and post-independence trajectories.
