Singapore Biennale 2011, 29 of 63 exhibiting artists are from Asia


The list of artists for the 2011 Singapore Biennale has been revealed. Beginning in early March, and this year titled “Open House”, SB2011 will feature over 150 works by 63 artists from 30 countries, with more than half of them premiering new works or creating new commissions. Manchester’s Chinese Art Centre auction a UK first – event alert


The Chinese Art Centre in Manchester, UK will hold the first ever auction of contemporary Chinese art in the country on 2 December. This silent auction will be accompanied by online bidding options. The fundraiser will include works donated by 29 artists including Gordon Cheung, Suki Chan, Dinu Li, Ed Pien, Ming Wong, Tsang Kin Wah and Pei Yuan Jiang.
