Exhibition “False Friends/An Ephemeral Video Library” marks the first time Taiwanese digital art has been showcased in an established Paris gallery. Three Taiwanese artists, Ming-Yu Lee, Wu Shang Lin and Chia Wei Hsu, are among 24 international artists whose video-based works are on display in the city’s Jeu de Paume.

Para/Site bring Indonesian moving image to Hong Kong – Record Waves exhibition

“Recorded Waves: Moving Images from Indonesia” began at Para/Site Art Space in Hong Kong in November this year. Curated by Para/Site’s Executive Director and Curator Alvaro Rodríguez Fominaya, the exhibition displays an assemblage of examples of the development of video art in Indonesia. It is presented simultaneously with “Jompet.Third Realm”, a solo exhibition of work by celebrated Indonesian artist Kuswidananto aka Jompet.

Valentine Willie Fine Art, located in Kuala Lumpur, presented “3 Young Contemporaries” in October and November this year. As the title suggests, the exhibition contained the work of three Malaysian contemporary artists: Chi Too, Minstrel Kuik and Poodien. It is part of the gallery’s annual exhibition programme that aims to provide a platform for young and emerging artists from the Southeast Asian region. Miao Xiaochun pushes limits of digital art – an Art Radar interview

Jumaldi Alfi’s exhibition “Life/Art # 101: Never Ending Lessons” was presented by Valentine Willie Fine Art (VWFA) and was displayed in the Annexe Gallery, Kuala Lumpur in October this year.
